Terms and Conditions

New Clients – First Appointment

Your first consultation will be approximately 90 minutes. During this time your practitioner will take notes about your health history, suggest the appropriate lab tests (when appropriate) that you should order to address your specific health concerns. After the appointment, a personalized plan will be delivered to you via email, including dietary, supplement, and llifestyle recommendations. If prior to the appointment we determine that our services are not appropriate for you, we have discretion to cancel your appointment and provide a full refund.

 
Payments and Fee Schedule

Appointment fees are as outlined on the website booking system and are current as at the time of booking.

Payment is invoice and due 48 hours prior to your appointment. You can pay online with one of the following payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, bank transfer (NZ clients only) or PayPal.

If you sign up to a payment plan, you give us permission to automatically charge your credit card or debit card as payment without any additional authorisation, and you will receive an electronic receipt.

 
Appointments

Once you have completed your 90 minute initial appointment, you are free to book follow-up appointments as needed. 

We encourage you to book your appointment 1-2 weeks in advance.

As a courtesy to you, you will receive an appointment reminder via email.

 
Lab Tests

If lab tests are needed, we receive your results 1-2 weeks after the lab has received your samples.

We will evaluate the results, then after evaluation, you will be contacted to schedule a follow-up consultation.

You will only receive your test results during a follow-up consultation.

 
Rescheduling by Provider

If we need to reschedule your appointment, we will endeavour to provide as much notice as reasonably possible and require you to select an alternative appointment time. If you decide to not reschedule, the Cancellations and Refunds policy will apply.

 
Rescheduling by Client

For Initial Consultations, you may request to reschedule your appointment date and time a minimum of one week prior to your appointment. If you have already paid, you will recieve a refund minus any admin and transaction fees. The transaction fee charged by PayPal and Stripe to The Gut Health Nutritionist (~4%) is non-refundable.

For all other appointment types, if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, you can reschedule your appointment via the online booking tool at any time up until 48 hours before your appointment without charge.  If you fail to reschedule your appointment within the required notice period, the Cancellations and Refunds policy will apply. No ‘last minute’ cancellation or rescheduling options are available. Any rescheduled appointments or credit must be used within three months of the original appointment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 
Cancellations and Refunds

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment and do not wish to reschedule, you must cancel your appointment via the online booking tool or notify us via email a minimum of 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time to receive a full refund, minus any admin and transaction fees (One week for Initial Consultations, as above).  If you fail to cancel your appointment with the required notice, you will forfeit your booked appointment and any cost already incurred and will not be eligible for a refund.

As noted above, the transaction fee charged by PayPal and Stripe to The Gut Health Nutritionist (~4%) is non-refundable. An admin fee of $25 per cancellation is also non-refundable.

Where a consultation has been completed with a practitioner, no refunds are available under any circumstances.

Packages

Packages can be cancelled within 30 days of purchase, and will be partially refunded, only in the case of legitimate medical or personal circumstances that prevent you from finishing your sessions. 

 

All sessions included in 12 week packages must be used within four months of purchase, unless a situation arises that prevents you from doing this, and we agree to extend the expiry date. 

 
Online Course Refunds

All online courses created or hosted by The Gut Health Nutritionist on any platform are non-refundable once purchased and accessed. The product is deemed to be consumed once any videos or handout has been viewed. 

 
Missed appointments

For all bookings, missed appointments will result in forfeiting your booked appointment and any cost already incurred and will not be eligible for a refund.

 
Preparation for appointment

Technology – 

It is your responsibility to:

  • set up technology and ensure all appliances are charged and in working order;

  • set up the applications required on your phone or laptop to complete the consultation

  • ensure you have a reliable and sufficient internet or phone connection or reception

  • ensure any other technology related requirements (hardware or software) are available and in working order prior to the appointment

Failure to follow these instructions may result in forfeiture of your appointment time and fee.

Intake forms

Should are required to complete your consultation documents or other requested documents within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment, we will not be able to proceed with your appointment and you will need to reschedule.  If so, the Rescheduling by Client and Cancellations and Refunds policies will apply.

 
Time Zone Differences

All appointments are made and will transpire using the time zone in New Zealand, Wellington (GMT+12). If you do not reside in this time zone, it is your responsibility to ensure you select the correct time zone in the booking tool and accurately convert the time change so as to not miss your appointment(s). http://www.timeanddate.com/  Failure to ensure an accurate time zone conversion will result in forfeiture of your appointment time and fee.

 
Governing Law

The validity, interpretation and construction of this Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand with the sole jurisdiction and venue of any dispute being New Zealand. The Client further agrees to be bound by the laws in New Zealand even if the country’s laws in which the Client resides are in conflict with the laws of New Zealand.

Other Documents

These terms and conditions are to be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy as well as the Informed Consent and Disclaimer signed before becoming a Client.

 
Important Notes

Neither Chrystie Aston nor any associate practitioner is a medical doctor and do not service medical emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, you must contact your primary care physician or dial your local emergency number.
